“I have had a bit of a play around with this kit and the colour mixing guide is great. The ink bottles have their own dropper in the cap, so are easy to mix. Great to use with a watercolour brush or fill empty markers. It does dry quickly. The ink is vibrant and wonderfully solid, though not to be confused with the opacity of acrylic markers. Wonderful to use for illustrations and details alongside graphic markers, guache and watercolours” – Pop Art Is Dead
The Lousy Ink story
Have you ever wondered what happens to your empty printer cartridges after you’ve recycled them?
The result is our 100% recycled ink.
Over the years our partners at Close The Loop have rescued more than five school buses worth of ink at their factory. In line with their strict zero-waste policy, we helped give their ’waste ink’ a second chance, reimagining it’s potential as artist ink and saving it from going to landfill.
In 2017 founders and artists, Mike Eleven and Oli Ruskidd, decided to combine their love of art and community to draw attention to the tonnes of ‘waste ink’ in the world and lack of a sustainable solution. Staying true to their roots, the two continue to support the art community.
