Visiting Melbourne and would like to paint your own graffiti piece…legally?
You can! Come and paint with me.

Everything is provided for you to paint your first piece of street art, with as much (or as little) help as you need to make something fun.

Bookings are open, with availability from March 2026

Activity and options:
Individually, or with a group of your friends, you will be able to paint a word/tag of your choosing, a street art-style image like a cartoon, or both. I will provide some inspiration/source material and help you “map out” the artwork. We will be painting in public, on the street, so you will experience some of the excitement of painting in public space.

Sessions are scheduled to commence at 1 pm and typically last around 2 to 2.5 hours, though do go longer for people enjoying the process and like to try more challenging artworks. I can adjust the start time to suit you (it’s your holiday, after all!). Feel free to let me know in advance. I only book one session per day, so your experience will not be rushed.

Costs: 
The base cost is for an individual, and only $29 per additional person in your group.
This experience can cater for up to 8 people in your group.
For bookings of over 10 people, please contact me ( mark@popartisdead.com.au ) to discuss and I’ll plan to accommodate a larger group and get back to you with a quote/cost.

Location:
Meet at 136 Montague Street, South Melbourne, easily accessible by the 109 and 96 trams.
There are pubs, cafe’s and restaurants all nearby, so you can finish the day with a few drinks, and I can provide recommendations for places to eat out in the area that will suit any taste or budget.

What to wear:
Comfortable clothes. You will be provided with light-weight “coveralls” to protect your clothing. Please do not wear precious designer clothing just in case.

What to bring:
Please bring a water bottle and, if you are someone who gets low energy in the afternoon, a snack. All materials, paint and personal protective equipment (PPE), like gloves and facemasks, are provided.

What happens when you’ve booked?
Once you have booked in, you will receive the usual receipts and payment confirmations. In addition, I will send you a personal email including a calendar invite, a reminder of what to bring, and I can answer any questions you may have via email or phone call.
